Finance Manager / Finance Executive (Healthcare Public Institution)
1. Finance Manager:
Major responsibilities
Coordination for monthly reporting process: system and analytic. Performs in continuous improvement of the efficiency of data gathering and quality of analysis.
Manage and coordinate the implementation of new finance projects (i.e. super user projects, Finance systems).
Play a key role in structuring and preparing month forecast, annual Budget and LRP process.
Develop and maintain the financial data channel between business and Finance. Assist internal customers in order to make the regional finance department a real business partner.
Actively participates in KPIs definition and KPIs tracking tools implementation within the region.
Supervises on other key projects as determined from time to time by senior management.
Perform detailed financial analysis (ongoing plus project specific activity) to assess key performance measures within Merial (i.e., gross margin analysis, price/volume, product profitability, cost of doing business).
Support the animation of the Finance Community.
Backup to Sr. Manager on key processes.
2. Finance Executive:
Essential Functions
Assist Director in creating an annual organizational budget and monitoring cash flow.
Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow report and present to the Finance Committee.
Manage the regular processing of accounts receivable and payable using fund accounting as requested.
With staff, help coordinate activities to ensure transactions are properly accounted for.
Ensure proper expenditure responsibility of all foreign transactions.
Print monthly reports of the organization's financial performance.
Reconciliation of monthly activity, generating year-end reports, and fulfilling tax related requirements.
Ensure that all Accounting Department requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner to internal and external parties.
Develop long-range financial forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans.
Maintain and monitor all fundraising and accounting systems and procedures, capturing all pledges, billings and receipts and recording of all revenue transactions, recommend and implement improvements to systems.
Support the annual audit and liaise with audit firm.
Qualifications and Experience
Min. A recognized and reputable Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
At least three to five years of relevant experience.
Willing to travel frequently within a short notice period.
Knowledge of internal control principles and process improvements.
Ability to analyze financial data.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including senior level business and corporate partnering.
Have a positive work attitude and able to manage projects independently.
A good team player who is also pro-active, confident, resourceful and able to work under tight deadlines.
