Full Stack Web Application & CMS Lead

Purpose

Lead group website application and CMS development team to deliver new initiatives and projects, change requests, and production support with great quality and according to business requirements. Leading the development team to work with platform owners and business stakeholders in delivering regional FWD websites & customer portal.

Work closely with UX teams, QA, DevOps, and platform owner team in delivering projects that drive best-in-class user experience. The role is also required to liaise with the group digital marketing team in implementing and fine-tuning page performance, SEO, GTM, and Google Analytics when necessary.

Keep up with the latest web technologies, research, and provide constant feedback for new technologies recommendations to improve operational efficiency, system performance, and application robustness.

Key accountabilities

• Provide technical leadership and sound technical solutions to address change requests with a firm understanding of business requirements.
• Responsible for designing the roadmap and explaining current strategies in terms of opportunities and threats analysis to stakeholders of internal & external parties for synergy.
• Translate corporate strategy into functional strategy for Website & eCommerce, develop options that achieve both short and long-term objectives wherever possible, monitor results, and make corresponding adjustments to ensure results are on track.
• Hands-on technical implementation (coding) while overseeing the development team across different offices and geographies to ensure quality deliverables.
• Appreciate business requirements and implement changes according to project technical design and coding standards to ensure high quality of deliverables.
• Strong attention to detail and great understanding of UX.
• Responsible for source code management, source code scanning, and penetration vulnerability resolution.
• Manage code management activities (including code branching, merging, and committing) by following the established standards defined by the team lead.
• Identify opportunities for research and development for continuous improvement.
• Maintain good quality of code that complies with coding and security standards.
• Be proactive in constantly highlighting gaps and seeking opportunities to optimize processes.
• Manage across-regional project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Deliver solutions that will be used across multiple platforms and languages.
• Act as a subject matter expert to coach and mentor team members when launching projects, ensuring quality deliverables are provided on time while complying with regulatory guidelines, including code scanning and resolving vulnerabilities found prior to go-live.

Qualifications / experience

• Preferably a bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline.
• Strong technical full stack technology knowledge with proven track records (more than 6 years of hands-on technical experience).
• Experienced in leading medium to large (4-10 people) project teams involving end-to-end delivery.
• Experienced in detailed system design, database design, and architecture.

Knowledge & technical skills

• Solid hands-on technical skills with capability to troubleshoot and drill down into detail.
• At least 6 years of hands-on technical skillsets:
  Must Have: Modern Javascript frameworks (e.g., ReactJs, NextJS - SSR and SSG), Typescript, NodeJs frameworks (e.g., NestJs), Cloud experience in AWS technologies, Kubernetes.
  Good To Have: Headless CMS, Storybook design system, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, and cloud-based infrastructure setup, TDD.
• Good knowledge of system design and documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage and manage various stakeholders.
• Meticulous and committed.
• Able to work under extreme pressure and tight timelines.
• Solid experience in project delivery (minimally 3 medium to large scale projects).
• Good experience in level 2 and 3 production support.
• Adequate security knowledge in cybersecurity aspects such as source code and penetration test scanning vulnerability resolution.
• Good experience in agile methodologies - scrum.
• Well-versed in Cloud technologies (AWS & Azure).
