Senior OpenShift Container Platform Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Oversees the technical aspects of a Container Orchestration and Automation in Infra Systems team by making architectural and design decisions. Guiding team members in technical matters.
2. Lead the transformation from old application technology setup to new modern application technology using containers for both on-prem and on-cloud.
3. Become a SME for the container technology to lead the other engineers onboarding to the Container world.
4. Perform design, install, and configure Container Orchestration platform in examples such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and K8s for both on-prem and on-cloud.
5. Perform design, install, and configuration of Infrastructure on-cloud by using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) on multi-cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
6. Harden servers and systems in accordance with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
7. Provide L2 support, including incident management, problem-solving, patch management, and change management.
8. Lead projects for Container Orchestration Platform installations, migrations, and upgrades, prioritizing efficiency and minimal downtime.
9. Collaborate on the strategic planning of the infrastructure, focusing on scalability, availability, and security.
10. Manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure service quality and compliance.
11. Champion continuous learning and adaptability within the team to stay ahead of emerging security threats and technologies.
