Part-Time Lecturer (Public Policy and Global Affairs)

The Public Policy and Global Affairs Programme, School of Social Sciences, invites applications for part-time lecturers (PTLs). We are looking for PTLs who can contribute to teaching (conducting tutorials and assessment) the core courses in the Programme, specifically:

1. Fundamentals of Politics
2. Politics of Singapore
3. Introduction to International Relations and Foreign Policy
4. Introduction to Political Theory
5. Introduction to Public Administration and Policy

Key Responsibilities:

1. Attend lectures (to be discussed and agreed with course coordinator).
2. Conduct tutorials and assessments for the assigned course.
3. Grade course assignments (including tests, quizzes, exam scripts).
4. Invigilate the final examination.
5. Work closely with the course coordinator to handle students’ queries on course related matters.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. At least a Master's Degree in social sciences; specialization in a political science subfield will be an advantage.
2. Some prior tutoring/lecturing experience will be an advantage.
3. Able to tutor/lecture during office hours.
