This position is for a Contract Manager APMEA based in Singapore to deliver value directly to the Sustainability Business. Reporting to the Commercial Support Leader, this role will oversee and manage the day-to-day contracting processes, whilst governing the end-to-end contract lifecycle.

As the contract manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and delivering results within defined KPIs. You will partner with the Sales, Client Management teams within your scope to ensure we have commercial compliant contracts that minimise risk and maximise value aligned to performance objectives. You will be expected to work with Legal and Solution Risk Management stakeholders to continually develop and refine our contracting solutions to meet the appropriate legal & risk standards required by leading global energy organisation.

What will you do?

  • Prepare, review and execute contracts, ensuring smooth operational run of volume, throughput, and case management within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Establish and implement global standard processes and procedures to support the efficiency of the region, reducing friction, accelerating pipeline velocity and managing risk
  • Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle process, from request intake to contract signing, variations and disputes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team & client management team to understand customer requirements and provide guidance on risk strategies, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability
  • Ensure compliance with the sales process and business expectations, acting as the point of contact for complex cases, contractual escalations and queries
  • Contribute to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor team productivity, case resolution time, and overall operational performance, regularly reporting to senior management
  • Identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to streamline operations, enhance throughput, and optimize resource allocation
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including legal and finance teams, to ensure smooth collaboration, alignment, and effective issue resolution
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to contract management, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance the team's performance and deliverables

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field
  • Experience or knowledge of the sustainability industry is an advantage but not necessary
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the contracting function
  • Proven work experience as a Contract or Commercial manager, client facing
  • Hands on experience with digital tools including ERPs and/or CRMs
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite of apps
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including sales teams, and other internal departments.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering results in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Demonstrated results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving operational targets, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality outputs
  • Strong ability to anticipate operational needs, and use research & best practices to drive to decisions that support team objectives
  • Strong adaptability in managing workloads and competing priorities
  • Ability to manage responsibility in an independent manner working autonomously in alignment with defined strategy
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, quickly adapting to changing priorities and business requirement

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong attention to detail, to review, amend and commercially risk assess contractual documentation to meet our commercial and legal requirements. Present commercial risk assessments and mitigations to senior business leaders to facilitate decision making
  • Overall understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices, including bid tendering, and pricing
  • Ability to listen and understand customer challenges; identify solutions by working alongside Revenue leaders to tailor pricing scenarios
  • Strong operational management skills, with the ability to handle a high volume of cases, manage throughput, and meet SLA requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret process data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to motivate and monitor individual performance, ensuring alignment with overall sales strategy and objectives
  • Ability to identify issues/risk, analyze and understand underlying causes and devise appropriate action plans
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
