Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager with a specialization in Omnissa Workspace ONE and related digital workspace technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in the design, implementation, and optimization of digital workspace solutions. This role will need to support operational tasks outside of project management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

1. Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects related to Workspace ONE and digital workspace initiatives.
2. Define and draft project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
3. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

2. Technical Expertise:

1. Provide technical guidance and support for various Workspace ONE related implementations, including configuration, deployment, integration, and troubleshooting.
2. Development and maintenance of digital workspace environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
3. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Workspace ONE and related digital workspace technologies.
4. Contribute to the design and architecture of digital workspace solutions to meet business requirements.

3. Stakeholder Communication:

1. Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
2. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
3. Prepare and present regular project status reports to management.

4. Risk Management:

1. Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing risk mitigation strategies.
2. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.

5. Quality Assurance:

1. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
2. Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Skills:

1. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
2. Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) and their integration with Workspace ONE.
3. Expertise in VMware Workspace ONE, including AirWatch and Horizon.
4. Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
5. Strong technical background with the ability to understand and troubleshoot complex IT systems.
6. Able to converse in both English and Mandarin to communicate with counterparts in China.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on Workspace ONE and digital workspace technologies.
4. Strong understanding of VMware Workspace ONE architecture, components, and deployment strategies.
5. Proven experience in managing IT projects related to end-user computing and digital workspace solutions.
6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
7. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
9. Experience in managing migrations projects preferred.
