Deputy Project Safety Manager

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. To conduct daily health, safety, and environmental inspections, prepare reports, and follow up with the main contractor for closure.
2. To inspect and verify if the main contractor has implemented appropriate safety measures.
3. To inspect and verify that the works on site are executed with approved permits.
4. To verify contractor’s daily work declaration, carry out targeted inspections, onsite intervention of unsafe activities, and respond to site incidents ensuring the contractor carries out emergency response as required.
5. To provide standing supervision for critical construction works where required.

Job Requirement

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least 5 years shall be in supervision of works similar in complexity, particularly in construction works in building construction, architectural, and fitting out works.
• Possess a Diploma in the Architecture or Building Services discipline from a Polytechnic or equivalent.
• Possess a certificate in Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course.
• Competent in keeping and maintaining proper and updated site records on the progress of works.
• Pro-active in resolving and managing site issues with good team spirit.
