Your Day to Day
voco Orchard Singapore is seeking a dynamic and passionate Housekeeping Attendant to be part of this hotel. As Housekeeping Attendant, you will clean guest rooms and/or suites in a timely and thorough manner to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- People: Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Interact with outside contacts: Guests – to ensure their total satisfaction.
- Financial: Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied. Report any room unable to be serviced to supervisor according to established procedures. Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions. Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
- Guest Experience: Respond to guest complaints and special requests to ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction. Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
- Responsible Business: Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, etc. May include cleaning of kitchen area, room refrigerator, coffee maker, cups, glasses, silverware, etc. Regularly assist with deep cleaning projects. May have turndown duties. Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures. Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly. Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers. Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements. Assist with other duties as assigned.
What We Need From You
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or other relevant qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ related experience in housekeeping in a full-service hotel.
- Oral and written fluency in English. Fluency in another language is an advantage.
- Commitment to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Great communication skills, ability to interact with guests, employees, and third parties that reflect highly on the hotel, the brand, and the company.
