Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Job Description

Your role:

1. Support all technical aspects of industrialization activities.
2. Manage/monitor the process capabilities of part manufacturing with secondary processes and/or product assembly.
3. As part of the industrialization team, fulfill new product requirements to keep manufacturing and process robust.
4. Responsible for all industrialization deliverables related to the technical aspects in the PDLM projects including:
   1. Process requirements
   2. Verification and validation
   3. Capability studies
   4. Work instructions
   5. Control plans
   6. Cycle time and manpower studies
5. Identify bottlenecks/risks and initiate corrective actions by working closely with relevant functions to ensure simple product design for manufacturing.
6. Maintain manufacturing under control with high OEE and low FOR.
7. Ensure proper handover to Operations/Production after achieving consistent results over a certain period of time.
8. Troubleshoot issues that occur during production.

To succeed in this role, you will need a customer-first attitude and the following:

1. Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/mechatronics/materials/chemical engineering.
2. Interest in working on projects related to laser welding and ultra-deep shine lacquering (automated spraying of very high gloss paint on plastic parts).
3. Able to commit from January to June 2025.
4. Exposure to practical internship experience, including working closely with the Philips factory in BATAM with travel twice a week (travel costs reimbursed by Philips).

How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities, while field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This will be an onsite role.
