Clinical Coder (Part-time / Full-time)

Highlights:

• Part time at 29/hr

Job Description:

• Examine and analyze patient medical records to identify relevant diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.
• Ensure that medical documentation is accurate, complete, and meets coding guidelines.
• Assign appropriate alphanumeric codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services based on international coding systems such as ICD-10 for procedures.
• Adhere to coding standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, including those set by health insurance companies, government agencies, and healthcare organizations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to clarify documentation and obtain additional information when needed.
• Participate in coding audits and quality assurance initiatives to ensure the accuracy and integrity of coded data.
• Perform reasonable ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in Nursing / Health Science or any equivalent.
• ICD-10-AM Coding Certified | Open to provide on-the-job training.
• Good communication skills & teamwork.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
