Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm)
Basic: $3400 to $3800
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the functions of Repacking/Containment/ICW operations and Maintenance.
Monitor the safe process flow and backlog level of TIW waste.
Ensure all staff are well trained according to the OJT programme and follow safe work procedures and SOPs.
Ensure effective coordination with the operation and sales team and customer service, maintaining high quality of services.
Monitor the outgoing containment purchase budget and encourage the recycling of used containment to save costs.
Conduct daily and regular inspections of the operation processes and monitor plant 5S and TPM activities, safety, discipline at work, and machinery and equipment conditions.
Lead daily safety toolbox meetings and conduct regular inspections of PPE items to ensure staff safety.
Conduct periodic reviews of existing procedures and workflow of plant operations to ensure cost-effectiveness with maximum throughput.
Apply continuous improvement or modification plans to maintain an excellent operational model.
Collaborate with Lab chemists to evaluate and develop new treatment methods and handling procedures for new and unknown wastes, reviewing operation costs and providing regular updates to management.
Ensure EHS compliance through continual maintenance and improvement of ISO 45001 implementation, and maintain good housekeeping of the site.
Prepare and analyze daily and monthly operation records/reports (e.g., cost, productivity, quality, non-conformance, etc.) on plant processing and maintenance, following up on necessary corrective actions with relevant department staff.
Compile the annual budget of plant operations and maintenance for Director’s approval, ensuring expenditures are within the budget allotment.
Work closely with operation and engineering staff to develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for machinery and equipment.
Conduct regular briefings/training for department staff on safety handling of repacking loose waste, MSDS, PPE requirements, and risk assessment before operations.
Activate the emergency response team of operation and maintenance staff and respond to any in-house spill and fire incidents in case of emergency.
Liaise with the EHS department to ensure staff are updated on handling methods and emergency equipment usage for spills and fire incidents, conducting regular practice and drill exercises to ensure familiarity with emergency responses.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Undertake any other tasks assigned by Management from time to time.
As an ISO committee member, develop and implement documents for operation procedures, such as SOP, RA, MOC, and SWP, and participate in auditing various departments as an Internal Auditor.
