The Job
The Financial Analyst plays a critical role by providing the management with insightful reports for data-driven decisions, improving reporting accuracy and efficiency, as well as supporting the company’s current/future growth.
What You Can Expect of the Job
- You’ll perform monthly/quarterly/year-end closing of accounts from the perspective of a G/L function.
- You’ll prepare monthly management reports, including financial results and business drivers’ analysis, and provide supporting commentary on the variances between actual and forecasted results.
- You’ll oversee the company’s inventory management processes, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.
- You’ll ensure supporting schedules are accurately maintained.
- You’ll oversee reporting packages from the company’s overseas establishments.
- You’ll ensure compliance with financial regulations and adherence with internal, local, and international accounting standards.
- You’ll coordinate with divisions to gather, review, and submit business forecasts in alignment with the company’s strategies.
- You’ll liaise with internal/external auditors, providing the required support and information upon request.
- You’ll assist in implementing governance and internal controls initiatives, including strengthening current internal controls, and improving the finance department's processes and systems.
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
What We Expect of You
- Degree holder from Accountancy/Finance studies
- With professional certificate (CA/CPA/ACCA) preferred
- Proficient in IFRS Accounting Standards
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience
- A self-starter who can plan, organize, and take the initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently and able to work with all levels in a high matrix organization.
- Meticulous, strong analytical skills, well-organized and self-motivated team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
