Executive Director / CEO

Connect Energy partners with a Finance institution to look for an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, who is responsible for the overall strategic, financial, and operational management of the company in Singapore. This is a startup company where this position will take the lead to grow the company with the support from the stakeholders / Board Management.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the operational and strategic planning for the growth of the company.
• Ensuring that the company is run according to Singapore governance frameworks, especially on MAS SFA.
• Taking on multiple roles proactively during the initial startup stage.

Requirements

• Degree or Master in Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Securities industry with at least 6 years in a management role.
• Compliance with relevant examination requirements (M1A or 1B, 2A, 6 and 6A, M5, 8 and 8A).
• Familiarity with retail and institutional clients.
• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and managing complex processes.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Team player with logical thinking, able to work under pressure, and dedicated.
• Strong people management skills and good business acumen with the ability to build new partnerships and collaborations.
• MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH MAS SFA RULES AND REGULATIONS for Capital Market License.
• Familiarity with Risk Management and Compliance Framework.
• Resident of Singapore.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with Chinese stakeholders who primarily use Mandarin for business-level communication.
