Job Title: Sales Executive (Japanese Speaking)

Our client is a renowned FMCG company specializing in glassware and coffee-related products. As they expand their business in Singapore and across the Southeast Asian region, they are seeking a Sales Executive (Japanese Speaking) to join their team.

Reporting to: Branch Manager

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare purchase orders, delivery orders, and shipping documents to ensure smooth and accurate transactions.
  2. Handle customer and distributor inquiries via phone and email, providing prompt and professional responses.
  3. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while actively developing new business opportunities.
  4. Reach out to potential clients and engage in sales activities, including presenting product proposals.
  5. Set and achieve sales targets by devising and executing effective strategies.
  6. Manage client orders and inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  7. Conduct market research to assess the competitive landscape and understand customer needs.
  8. Regularly report sales progress to the Branch Manager.
  9. Coordinate and conduct meetings and negotiations with clients.
  10. Present weekly results at management meetings (conducted in Japanese).
  11. Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  12. This position might require business trips as needed (ASEAN).

Requirements & Preferences:

(Must)

  1. Diploma in Business Management, Administration, Marketing, or Commerce.
  2. Minimum of 3 years experience in a Coordinator or Logistics role, focusing on import and export within the retail industry.
  3. Candidates with experience as a Floor Manager or Store Manager in retail are encouraged to apply.
  4. Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 level) for speaking, listening, and writing is essential due to frequent interaction with Japanese counterparts.
  5. Willingness to travel for business within Asia.

(Advantageous):

  1. Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly with coffee and tea, coffee chains, or kitchen equipment-related products.
  2. Familiarity with and experience in eCommerce.
