The Company

Asia Football Group (AFG) is the exclusive commercial agency for the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) competitions from 2023-2028. Our partnership with the AFC covers the commercial rights for all major AFC National Team and Club competitions, including the AFC Asian Cup, AFC Asian Qualifiers, AFC Women’s Asian Cup, AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifiers, AFC Champions League, AFC Cup as well as AFC youth and futsal competitions.

The Role

This position will support and lead aspects of various items within the Enterprise Services group. These tasks include AFG’s virtual advertisement initiative, LED content management, department contracting and freelance database management, providing updated department/company documentation, and assisting in the tracking and reporting of various departmental budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Transmission

  1. Setting up competitions, matches, playlists, and users within AFG’s content management system, ensuring deadlines are met across departments.
  2. Sharing Virtual/LED content with venue teams and the AFC ahead of match delivery.
  3. Supporting the Media Asset Management system “MAM,” including setting up events and user access, running reports, and checking metadata while ensuring consistent tagging of media assets.
  4. Responsible for supporting the delivery of virtual advertisement (VA) by:
    1. Crewing freelance personnel and managing travel, accommodation, visas, and assignment information.
    2. Creating and issuing VA daily schedules to stakeholders.
    3. Coordinating with AFG’s VA supplier to ensure readiness for events.
    4. Providing account management support to entities delivering VA onsite at competitions.
    5. Submitting production booking sheets for VA matches to cross departmental teams.
    6. Creating and managing presentation materials about the VA initiative.
    7. Supporting the tender process, including issuing RFPs, coordinating testing events, and reviewing participant submissions.
  5. Coordinating with the Transmission team for SNG’s or internet requirements for matches, ensuring venue requirements, and managing logistics with key stakeholders.

Events

  1. Gathering and submitting accreditation and visa requests for personnel for matches/events.
  2. Supporting the planning of special events, including draws and award ceremonies.
  3. Maintaining the company match inventory and calendar, providing monthly updates on changes.

Contracting & Freelance Database

  1. Maintaining SmartTracker and SmartDatabase for AFG’s freelance database, supporting onboarding and offboarding with line managers.
  2. Maintaining contracts and work orders for the department, including AFG’s contract database.

Budgeting & Reporting

  1. Supporting flash reporting and cost tracking within department budgets.
  2. Raising purchase orders and managing project IDs to keep systems updated and accurate.

Other

  1. Scheduling meetings, coordinating agendas, and issuing notes.
  2. Performing other ad hoc tasks as directed.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  1. Interest in broadcast, media asset management, and content services.
  2. Attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Strong Microsoft application skills, especially Excel.
  4. Flexible, enthusiastic, and motivated.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or in a team.
  6. Innovative approach to enhancing content service.
  7. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  8. Potential for travel for match delivery.
  9. 3+ years of experience in events, with a focus on sports events preferred.
  10. Proficiency in English; knowledge of other Asian languages is a plus.
