PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP National Security Governance (NSG) organization is part of the SAP Sovereign Service & Delivery organisation. This organization ensures strict liability fulfilment of customers’ national security requirements, business enablement in sensitive industries, and compliance with Critical Infrastructure regulations worldwide. The SAP NSG unit is looking for a “Government Security Officer Singapore (f/m/d)”.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Fulfil the role of a Government Security Officer, SAP NSG for SAP in Singapore under respective national security programmes and initiatives.
• Support the SAP NSG Regional Manager as an internal trusted advisor to ensure the protection of SAP’s business in Singapore.
• Establish and maintain effective internal protocols and procedures to manage obligations for Singaporean national and industrial security.
• Participate in and support broader SAP NSG business to enable compliance with SAP NSG policies.
• Maintain and deepen established working relationships with customers’ security representatives and security authorities across Singapore.
• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in direct customer engagements that involve national security.
• Engage with SAP NSG internal stakeholders in support of regional regulatory obligations.
• Support SAP NSG’s facilitation of security clearances and Requests for Visit.
• Leverage Government and Industry experience in support of SAP sales strategies.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts in relevant authorities and security organisations.
• Participate in initiatives to improve SAP’s operations and capacity to support customers in national security and regulated markets.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Significant experience in managing or being part of a security function in Government ministries/agencies or regulated industries.
• Relevant academic or professional qualifications in Information Assurance, Information Security, Cyber Security, or Risk Management are highly desirable.
• Singapore citizenship is required due to the sensitivities of the relationships with Government.
• Background and security checks will be required to achieve and maintain a personal government security clearance.

Essential knowledge, skills, and experience

• Excellent organisational awareness and planning skills.
• Experience in safeguarding documents and information assurance.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with government authorities and security organisations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in a multicultural setting.
• Proven track record in Government and heavily regulated markets with an existing network of stakeholders.
• Programme/project management qualifications are highly regarded.
• Willingness to travel abroad within the APAC region and to Germany.

Further highly desirable knowledge, skills, and experience

• Experience with controlled goods/information registration and management.
• Physical and site security experience, as defined in Singapore Government security policies.
• Appreciation of technical security measures, particularly for Cloud, Information Security, and Cyber Security.
