We are looking for a Deputy Manager IT to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs.
The successful candidate will have improved skills, a proven professional experience, and a detailed knowledge of industry’s best practice processes. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for managing the overall IT & Telecom infrastructure, including Servers, Desktops, Laptops, Networks, Security tools, and required applications to run day-to-day operations.
You will assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting the business requirements pertaining to existing IT application change requirements or new requirements.
You will be responsible for carrying out UAT in consultation with users and third-party vendors. You will assess the need for training in the area of Office 365 tools, Ticketing tools, MS Office, or existing ERP or business applications.
You will ensure compliance in terms of software licenses, security patch updates, endpoint, and server protection tools in consultation with Group IT, complying with Group IT policies.
Key Accountabilities or Activities
- End user support for ERP / IT applications / General IT support
- IT Infrastructure management includes servers, telecom systems, firewalls, security tools, and backup
- IT application training to end users and addressing day-to-day operational issues
- Business requirement analysis & documentation
- Project activities coordination for IT application development & implementation
- Third-party vendor management
- IT peripheral procurement and installation
Necessary Qualifications
- Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technology solutions to various audiences
- Strong working knowledge of various technology platforms and practices, including, but not limited to, Microsoft .NET technologies, ABAP development, and SAP ERP implementation/support
- Strong knowledge of new or latest technology, and able to gauge suitability to the organization's business
- Innovative mindset and able to challenge assumptions
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and end-user support management, including Office 365, Windows/Linux, Firewall, and cloud-hosted infrastructure and services
- Knowledge of SAP ERP implementation would be an added advantage
