Job Description:

THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.

You will be part of the team responsible to deliver quality guided tours to provide the best National Education experience and bring alive the Singapore Story for Singapore Discovery Centre’s (SDC’s) in alignment with the organisation’s objectives. This position will report directly to the Executive for Visitor Experience.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality guided tours for the permanent exhibition gallery as well as all special, thematic and travelling exhibitions;
• Carry out daily operational duties including conducting assigned guided tours and facilitating activities at assigned exhibit stations;
• Read, research and share content related to the Singapore Story and specific exhibitions;
• Gather feedback on service quality and share best practices;
• Keep guided tours at the permanent exhibition gallery relevant and interesting;
• Perform any other duties assigned from time to time, including operational support duties (e.g. Ticketing, retail, and cinema operations);
• Attending to guest feedback via SDC enquiry email.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Tourism or Hotel Management, fresh graduate can apply;
• Extremely hands on environments, needs to be proactive as well as pragmatic in decision making;
• Can-do attitude, strategic thinking, with a passion for new products and solutions;
• Strong numerical and analytical skills and attention to details;
• Excellent organisational and time management skills;
• Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills;
• Able to perform shift work/weekends when required
