Quantity Surveyor [West | Up to $4.5k]

Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, tabulate price comparisons, and prepare costing summaries.
2. Provide centralized quantity surveying services, including interim valuations and contract variation agreements.
3. Prepare and submit up-to-date claims regularly, assisting with monthly cost and value reports.
4. Perform quantity take-offs, prepare tender and contract documents, and collaborate with architects and clients.
5. Conduct cost analyses for repairs, maintenance, and feasibility studies based on client requirements.
6. Manage risks, costs, and value by analyzing tenders, ensuring compliance with building contracts, and identifying commercial risks.
7. Value completed work, arrange payments, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
8. Undertake ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Job Specifications/Requirements:

1. Minimum Degree or Diploma in building, quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction industry experience.
3. Resourceful and capable of maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.
4. Meticulous, independent, and results-oriented, with excellent teamwork and deadline management skills.
5. Possess strong leadership qualities, with the opportunity to lead a team.
