Systems Technician (Mechanical & Electrical)

Responsibilities:

• Planning, installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of M&E hardware components within IT Systems for deployment, POCs, trials, and projects.
• Testing and maintenance of M&E hardware components within IT systems after deployment.
• Essential operating systems (Windows), application software, and networking knowledge.
• Conduct user training, including providing simple user guides for customers.
• Test, fault analysis, and perform M&E hardware repairs.
• Creation of basic batch tasks and scripts for systems.
• Perform ad-hoc special assignments as directed, using experience and knowledge acquired on the job, such as testing of new hardware devices and applications.
• Reporting to System Engineering Team Lead.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or any related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in deployment and support roles. Fresh graduates with a good learning attitude will also be considered.
• Good understanding of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Able to test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair M&E systems.
• Experience in deploying software applications on Windows.
• Knowledge of passport scanners, kiosks, autogates, biometrics devices, and IP cameras is an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for correspondence and discussion with customers' technical counterparts.
• Reliable, flexible, and adaptable to situations with good aptitude in problem isolation and solving skills during project implementation.
• Willing to learn new skills required for job tasks.
• Ability to carry out instructions accurately.
• Some flexibility in working hours.
• A team player and dedicated to completing the tasks as assigned.
