Solution Architect - 3 Months Mission (Renewable)

Key accountabilities:

1. Responsible for developing reference architecture, solution architecture, related standards, architecture patterns and partnering with IT and business stakeholders to create business values across the value chain.

Understand business requirements:

1. Develop an understanding of the customer business, expectations, constraints and opportunities.
2. Participate in technical analysis and architectural workshops with client architects, program management, business/technical analysts to translate new opportunities into full lifecycle product components and strategize their project implementations.
3. Understand Alstom enterprise architecture, products and practices.
4. Identify key stakeholders and create strong working network.

Design the solution architecture:

1. Analyze and evaluate existing architecture and prescribe new technology upgrades and architectural solutions on cloud/on-premise platforms.
2. Design a solution that fulfills the business requirements.
3. Enable development and growth of products through proof-of-concept.
4. Leverage new partners and technology to build innovative and competitive solutions.
5. Drive compatibility, interoperability, stability and usability of recommended solution architecture.
6. Support team in business proposal.
7. Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis to ensure the soundness of new solutions.
8. Analyze impact of a solution on client’s overall business processes and systems to mitigate business risks.

Develop technical roadmaps and support solutions implementations:

1. Design and lead the set-up of new development and production environment for the development teams.
2. Assist development team in the end-to-end development, testing and implementation of solutions.
3. Support risk identification and development of risk mitigation strategies associated with the solution implementation.
4. Foster continuous improvements in the design processes, models and approach.
5. Support the analysis of the functionality and constraints of recommended solutions/changes across multiple systems/platforms/applications.
6. Develop architectural frameworks for innovation products.
7. Support clients to resolve technical issues.

Contribute to the Innovation strategy of the company:

1. Build industry expertise and become a contributor to Alstom innovation strategy.
2. Recommend adoption of new technologies and applications to optimize existing solutions.
3. Scout and test new solutions available on the market.
4. Grow the Innovation station ecosystem with new local partnerships and open R&D projects.

Requirements

Mandatory:

1. 5 to 10 years in IT and/or digital companies or software or startups.
2. Extensive practice of data and software architecture design and development.
3. Experience of data modeling.
4. Experience in MLOps and DevOps including docker and ansible.
5. Experience with git and release management.
6. Demonstrable skills in customer-centric approach.
7. Data-oriented person with analytical mind and business acumen.
8. Knowledgeable on agile practices.
9. Great communication and presentation skills.
10. Experience in working in a fast-paced team culture.

Desirable:

1. Experience working in Innovation / R&D team on new product development with fast tracking development.
2. Good understanding of the Apache opensource ecosystem.
3. Experience with AIML and Big Data technologies like – Jupyter Notebook, Hadoop, PySpark, HIVE.
4. Experience with common data science toolkits.
