We are looking for a Sales Support Engineer to oversee 2-stroke engine services. The successful applicants should have a strong understanding and excellent technical knowledge of 2-stroke engines. This role is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Manage 2-stroke sales activities and customer relationships to reach sales and margin targets, as well as customer satisfaction in assigned countries.
- Promotion of 2-stroke Service product range in assigned countries.
- Build relationships with Customers and Sales Managers in assigned countries.
- Manage 2-stroke sales and sales support activities in assigned countries according to the business strategy.
- Manage Field Service and Technical Service Leads and prepare Sales Proposals.
- Preparation of sales proposals and supporting presentation material & documents for Spare Parts, Field Service and support B & C class projects where applicable in accordance with customer's needs, requirements, specifications and in alignment/cooperation with internal organization.
- Manage all requirements related to the upcoming drydocks.
- Ensure the functionality of proposed technical solutions and that proposed solutions fulfill customer requirements.
- Ensure sales proposals are within margin targets.
- Closely collaborate with other functions such as 2-stroke Product Sales Manager, Field Service Coordinator, Sales Proposal, Technical Manager.
- Monitor market/competition developments and report to stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement of communication internally/externally of Way of Working in 2-Stroke but also with other functions.
- Use of data and analytics to identify new opportunities.
- CRM usage and reporting related tasks.
Requirements:
- 2-stroke product portfolio, organization and technical knowledge.
- Knowledge of regional market and awareness of cultural diversity.
- At least 5 years previous experience in the Marine industry is required.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, Sales affinity and high level of pro-activity.
- Energy, passion, commitment and determination.
- Customer centric attitude and team spirit.
- Communication skills with positive, proactive attitude and self-motivation.
- Presentation skills, e.g. for presenting technical solutions and customer proposals.
- Fluent speaking and writing in English.
- Willingness to travel overseas.
- Have advanced knowledge of MS Office and CRM (Salesforce) applications.
