Performance Artist (DJ) (Up to $3500)

Job Title: Performance Artist (6 Months)

Location: Clarke Quay

Working Hours: 5/6 Days (Alt Weeks) / 44 Hours Per Week (Including Weekends & PH)

Salary: $3000-$3500++

Job Description:

• Provide live DJ performances during restaurant operating hours.
• Set up and operate DJ equipment, including sound systems, mixers, turntables, and lighting, ensuring the quality and integrity of the sound and visual experience.
• Interact with restaurant patrons, taking song requests, and adapting the music to the mood and preferences of the audience.
• Collaborate with restaurant management and staff to coordinate performances with dining services, events, and promotions.
• Monitor and adjust sound levels, lighting effects, and special effects to maintain a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Ensure compliance with any licensing, copyright, or legal requirements associated with playing music in a public establishment.
• Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of DJ equipment and accessories.
• Maintain a professional and presentable appearance during performances, including adhering to the restaurant's dress code.
• Assist at the host area to bring in guests to the restaurant when there are no customers present.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in DJ techniques, including mixing, beatmatching, and music selection. Experience in using DJ equipment such as turntables, mixers, and controllers.
• Previous experience as a DJ in a restaurant or similar entertainment venue is preferred. Familiarity with creating a suitable atmosphere for diners is a plus.
• Ability to set up and operate DJ equipment, sound systems, and lighting systems. Troubleshooting and maintenance skills for audio and visual equipment.
• Effective time management skills to ensure timely setup and performance during restaurant operating hours.
• Willingness to work during restaurant operating hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• If required, the ability to assist with restaurant promotions and marketing efforts related to DJ events and performances.
