Senior Equipment Engineer, Back-end

THE COMPANY

Our Client is in the semiconductor industry with a strong presence in APAC and Singapore. They are looking for a Senior Equipment Engineer, Back-end to join their team in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Department.

THE ROLE

The Senior Equipment Engineer, Back-end is responsible for:

1. Lead the development and optimization of semiconductor packaging and assembly processes to improve efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
2. Oversee the selection, installation, and qualification of back-end semiconductor equipment, addressing technical challenges and ensuring smooth production integration.
3. Analyze process data and implement improvements using statistical tools such as SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma to enhance operational performance.
4. Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for equipment and processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive process enhancements.

Requirements:

1. Min 8 years of experience in handling semiconductor equipment for semiconductor manufacturing processes, including packaging, assembly, and testing.
2. Expertise in die sorter lip-chip, die bonding, etc.
3. Expertise in troubleshooting, process optimization, and manufacturing tools.
4. Proficient in statistical analysis (e.g., JMP, Minitab) and knowledgeable in industry standards like ISO and JEDEC.
5. Certified in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and willingness to travel occasionally for customer or site visits.
