Assistant Manager, Laboratory Services

Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world, with more than 120 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,000 are graduate students.

We invite applications for the position of Assistant Manager, Laboratory Services. The incumbent shall provide technical excellence across multiple laboratories in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative/technical support for all laboratory users.
• Operate laboratory equipment and carry out periodic maintenance.
• Linux administration.
• Procurement for laboratory teaching and research labs.
• Asset management and maintaining proper records for inventory auditing.
• Provide technical support for all research/joint industrial projects.
• Assist the Safety Committee on laboratory safety matters.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the school.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of lab safety rules.
• Proficiency in Linux.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
