Delta One & Portfolio Financing and Optimization Trader

The Delta One & Portfolio Financing and Optimization Trader is responsible for management of our Prime India trading books and products. Additionally responsible for assisting with management of a financing book, with specific focus on revenues and profitability.

Responsibilities:

1. Delta One Trader: Manage trading and hedging our India Synthetic products
2. Equity Finance Trader: Trader Management of our India FPI product and associated controls
3. Responsible for working in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Custody, Market and Credit Risk to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
4. Optimization of APAC CF profitability
5. Pricing financing terms for Hedge Fund clients
6. Contribute to administration and development of the Equity PB P&L
7. Holistic view across SBL, FRM, Equity PB and synthetics
8. Profitability analysis, return hurdles
9. Drive PnL optimization – Pricing, margin, business mix, etc
10. Data analysis, tool implementation
11. Construct consistent approach to client profitability regionally/globally
12. Working closely with peers in other regions
13. Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
14. Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
15. Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
16. Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
17. Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
18. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

1. Delta One Trading experience
2. Subject Matter Expert across India ODI/FPI products, tax and regulatory considerations, corporate events, IPOs / other primary market activities and processes.
3. Knowledge of the Prime Brokerage business
4. Required licensing and registrations as applicable
5. Exceptional analytical and numerical competency
6. Strong Python programming skills

Skills:

1. Strong understanding of risk components across the products, and associated risk management
2. Ability to design effective controls in partnership with compliance and risk partners
3. Ability to compute and articulate revenue drivers and attribution
4. Consistently able to demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
5. Effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
6. Ability to analyze and pitch situations and determine suitable counterparties
7. Knowledge of Bloomberg, booking systems, P&L systems

Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
2. Master’s degree preferred
