Marine Engineer (Electrical / West / Maintenance)

Note: 1 year contract - convertible to perm.

Job Summary:

As a Marine Technical Engineer, you are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of marine vessels, machinery, and equipment. You will provide technical expertise for construction, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance to ensure the reliability and functionality of vessels and related systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily vessel operations, including movements, documentation, and risk management.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair marine engines, electrical systems, mechanical and hydraulic systems, and handle maintenance categorization.
• Raise purchase orders for vessel maintenance and repairs.
• Track and review approved purchase requisitions for vessels.
• Handle maintenance system documentation and reports for the marine department archive.
• Assist departments with claims, such as demurrage, cargo shortages, and commercial issues.
• Submit monthly reports on operating rates, demurrage, and voyages.
• Work to improve ship efficiency and minimize operational risks.

Requirements:

• Studies related to Marine & Offshore Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in vessel operations, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
• Familiar with marine electrical systems and able to interpret electrical layout drawings.
• Willing to travel and work in shipyards, offshore.
