MRTA is about understanding and maintaining our equipment as effectively and efficiently as possible, making sure it performs as intended. The Turnaround discipline covers the development of Turnaround strategies and the planning, coordinating and execution of Turnaround events (including the financial and people aspects and scheduling).
What’s the role?
As a TA Planner, your accountabilities will include:
Ensure that MMS captures all phases of TA are updated timely and accurately for review at every formal strategy, steering & planning meetings.
Ensure that all MMS sub-milestone schedules utilized by TA teams, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects, Construction, Contractors, Specialist, services providers deployed and pre/post-TA preparation works are synchronized at all times.
Ensure accuracy and high quality of MES through sound network of activity logic/dependencies, resource loading, simultaneous operation (SimOps) constrains and congestions due to other works.
Provide assurance for Capital Projects that are to be executed during TA are properly constructed and integrated into the TA Master Schedule.
Facilitate Internal Scope Challenge or Optimization workshop with all discipline team and follow-up with action points.
Facilitate Bi-weekly Candance meeting and proactive HSSE sharing during the meeting with site stakeholders and follow-up with action points.
Prepare site proposal for TAR gap closure action plan based on recommendation.
FSR classification for TA base scopes.
On Stream Inspection (OSI) status tracking Turnaround.
On-The-Run (OTR) status tracking Turnaround.
NaviTrack report and progress tracking (Admin user)
Risk Register tracking and update mitigation response/action plans etc.
Perform non-standard flange torque calculation and support to TFA site focal.
Generate TFA E-passes for contractors/vendor.
Discovery jobs tracking and its approval within 24 hrs. during execution
Perform qualitative & quantitative analysis on past discovery scopes for multiple events.
PEFS markup for Turnaround scopes for decontamination operation planning and system wise schedule integration.
PEFS markup for Turnaround CAIR’s locations based on Inspection work scope to decide on isolation strategy.
Work package submission tracking during detail planning phases and generate S-curve reports.
Support to integrate the schedule in P6 with logical relationship linkage of activities, assign resources, activity codes and TA phases.
Develop visual wall chart for base & addenda TA scopes, project scope and RM monitoring jobs etc.
Kick-off schedule review with contractors and follow-up actions.
Accommodating updates and changes to schedules.
Keeping stakeholders informed of timelines and deadlines.
Documenting scheduling processes and maintaining records.
Manage Multi-disciplinary schedules and Integration of Contractor’s schedule.
Implement DS-M TA scheduling premise document for Shell Jurong Island TA scheduling system/tool.
Custodian of TA Event Milestone Schedule (MMS), capturing key calendar dates/milestones covering every phase of DS-M TA process.
Custodian of TA Event Execution Schedule (MES), integrating all work tasks, work packages, support plans, Operation plans and activities for Shell Jurong Island TA events.
Ensure review and buy-in of the integrated TA Master Schedule with key stakeholders and contractors.
Ensure schedule backups are made at reasonable intervals for network insurance & traceability purpose.
What we need from you
We are keen to speak with individuals who have the following:
Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
At least 8 years relevant field experience as TA Planner or Scheduler and/or equivalent.
Preferably with Mechanical Engineering background.
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, mainly technical support in Refinery or Petrochemical Plant. Preferably with some years in Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, Turnaround, or Operation experience.
Proven experience coordinating with many TA Planning personnel – TA Managers, Planners, Schedulers, TOC, Contractors & Service Providers.
Minimum 2 years’ experience and Master level in scheduling using Primavera.
Hands-on experience through craft ranks/operations.
