Job Description for Data Scientist (Research Analyst)

Health Services and Outcomes Research (HSOR) is a multi-disciplinary health services research department in National Healthcare Group (NHG) that provides decision support, evaluates programs and studies health behaviour. Aim:

To be a Research Analyst (entry level) in Health Services Research (HSR) and be part of the Data Science & Operations Research team.

Qualification:

A degree in Data Science or related fields, preferably a Master's. Strong and flexible in the application of fundamentals of mathematics, probability & statistics, and computer science; has a good knowledge of programming in Python. Having a background in biology in high school/JC will be an advantage. Entry-level candidates may apply.

Role:

1. Process and analyse large healthcare databases to draw insightful results using methods that are descriptive, explanatory, predictive, and simulation.
2. Experiment with generative AI for applications in healthcare analytics and productivity improvement.
3. You are creative and curious to continue learning the wide field of HSR analytics covering disease knowledge, population epidemiology, and healthcare systems. You are self-driven with a hands-on approach who delivers, with guidance from the team.
