You will help to support the front office sales & trading platform. Additionally, your efforts will help the business management team to maintain strong partnerships with each of the functional areas supporting Global Markets, driving operational efficiencies & effectiveness to meet business goals and objectives. Key partners include - Product Control, Finance, BCS including KYC/CEG, Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Human Resources.

What is the opportunity?

As a member of the GM APAC Business Management team, you will help to support the front office sales & trading platform. Additionally, your efforts will help the business management team to maintain strong partnerships with each of the functional areas supporting Global Markets, driving operational efficiencies & effectiveness to meet business goals and objectives. Key partners include - Product Control, Finance, Operations, Information Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Human Resources.

What will you do?

  1. Review of Financial Reports, identify key trends & report to key stakeholders.
  2. Expense management - direct and indirect allocated costs
  3. Meeting & presentation preparation, including –
    1. Business strategy & development
    2. Financial planning & analysis
    3. Client Value (CV) reporting & analysis
    4. Monthly Financial Reports
    5. Other one-off reports as required by Sales & Trading e.g. 3rd party benchmarking reports.
  4. Technology – manage systems access requests, inventory & requirements.
  5. Ad hoc project work.
  6. Partnering with Business Management colleagues on strategic projects and Global Markets wide initiatives.
  7. Support day to day asks from Global Markets Sales & Trading.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  1. Degree or equivalent is required
  2. The role would typically require 2-4 years of relevant experience
  3. Knowledge of the GM businesses within a Capital Markets context including - Products, Organizational Structure & Operational Processes
  4. Have an analytical mindset – an ability to interpret & navigate financial reports and management information.
  5. Advanced capability with the suite of Microsoft Office products – specifically Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  6. Strong people and interpersonal skills
  7. Ability to manage many competing priorities to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner
  8. Highly effective and literate with excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  9. Be self-motivated, team orientated individual.

Nice-to-have

  1. Financial, consultancy or business management backgrounds would be helpful
  2. Professional Qualification i.e. CA would be an advantage
