What you'll be doing
- Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and record-keeping
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other accounting documentation
- Providing administrative support, such as managing office supplies, maintaining records, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies and procedures
- Collaborating with the finance team to improve accounting processes and systems
- Providing general administrative support to the wider organisation as needed
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounts or administrative role, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as XERO
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
