Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contracts Manager / Assistant Contracts Manager to join our team in Singapore. You will play a crucial role in supporting our AC (Accredited Checking) and BE (Building Engineering) departments. This position involves managing the full contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and closeout, while collaborating closely with Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of our Contract Management function within the broader BV Building & Infrastructure team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, company, and project requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and engage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for engineering and construction projects.
  • Oversee procurement, vendor selection, and subcontractor performance.
  • Prepare and review bidding and tender proposals.
  • Manage project budgets, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Advise finance on invoicing and payments.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve contract-related issues as and when required.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance contract management processes and systems.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the Contract Management function within the larger BV Building & Infrastructure team.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in contract management, quantity surveying, tendering, and procurement within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Good use of knowledge with contract law, procurement regulations, and tendering procedures.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, project budgeting, and managing billing and invoicing.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with contract management software is a plus.
