Network/Firewall Engineer - Patching and Vulnerability Management

Main purpose of the role:

To be responsible for the patching and vulnerability management of all network and firewall devices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Network Administration of Cisco, Fortinet, and F5 environment.
• Perform patch assessment and recommend/plan deployment.
• Experience in automation of pre and post patching tasks.
• Bios upgrades and firmware upgrades.
• Log monitoring and maintenance.

Skills Required:

• 8-10 years of experience in network and firewall administration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Experience in an SLA-driven environment.
• Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented, and constantly changing environment.
• Able to work on weekends as per roster and perform on-call support during weekdays as needed.
• Knowledge of ACI, Cisco, Arista, F5, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto is necessary.
• Patch management and vulnerability management (Must Have).
• Troubleshooting skills in patching/firmware upgrade related issues (Must Have).
• Extensive experience in ESXi patching.
• Experience with patch management tools like NetBot and other similar tools.
• Experience on Cisco platforms (IOS/IOS-XE).
• Ability to understand network flows.
• Strong experience and understanding of DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
• Solid experience in switching (VLAN, bundling mechanisms, Ethernet, STP flavors) and routing (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP).
• Good exposure to standard and extended access-lists.
