Network Engineer | Fortinet | Aruba

Responsibilities:

• Tasked with implementing network infrastructure based on the specific requirements of the organization. This involves creating a robust network architecture that aligns with business needs.
• Installing and configuring network hardware is a crucial part of your role. This includes working with routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
• Responsible for maintaining network software, ensuring seamless connectivity and efficient data transfer.
• Continuously monitor the network’s performance, capacity, availability, and reliability. The Network Engineer is required to keep an eye on data flow, latency, and potential bottlenecks to ensure the organization’s network is functioning optimally.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly when problem arise. This includes diagnosing hardware and software problems, identifying network glitches, and minimizing downtime.
• Develop and implement robust network security protocol ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and protection against cyber threats is a critical aspect of their role.
• Conducting routine network maintenance is critical; this involves tasks such as updating both software and hardware components to keep the network running smoothly to ensure stability and security.
• Documenting network configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency. Having well-documented guidelines helps maintain network performance across all client sites.
• As a network engineer, provide support and training to other team members. Sharing your expertise ensures a cohesive and knowledgeable network team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering.
• Familiarity with network protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience working with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, network topology and experience with Fortinet and Aruba solutions implemented
• Experience in optimizing networks to ensure high availability, performance, and security in accordance with business requirements.
• Certifications in network engineering (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Aruba Certified Solutions Professional) and familiarity with ITIL processes related to network management will be good to have.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working closely with clients to understand their networking needs and translate these into effective solutions.
