Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Procurement & Admin Assistant Manager to oversee procurement operations and administrative functions within the offshore marine sector. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering and procurement processes, particularly for electrical scopes. You will play a critical role in optimizing supply chains, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of equipment and parts essential for project success. Strong planning and organizational skills are essential to streamline operations and maintain project timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Operations

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for electrical equipment and parts, optimizing supply chains to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring proper storage, monitoring, and tracking of equipment and parts.
  • Oversee logistics arrangements to ensure timely deliveries and mitigate project delays caused by vendor or supply chain issues.
  • Evaluate and expand vendor sources to diversify supply chains and minimize risks.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Lead vendor selection, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations, aligning vendor performance with project goals.
  • Establish new vendor relationships and evaluate their performance to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Draft and review contracts for management approval, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Resource & Budget Optimization

  • Monitor procurement budgets and expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Analyse procurement data to identify trends and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.

Administrative Support

  • Manage delivery schedules and prepare bids based on criteria for vendor selection.
  • Review and categorize vendor submissions, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the offshore marine or engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of marine offshore or process industry, electrical scopes and procurement processes.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
