Overview:
We seek an organized, detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to support the Global Head of Insurance in managing Dyson's global insurance programs. This role involves risk assessment, policy review, claims management, and compliance across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and a solid background in corporate insurance (however, this is not a mandatory requirement).
Reports to the Global Head of Insurance. Full time role, based in Singapore (Science Park).

Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Support: Support the development and execution of Dyson’s global insurance strategy by analyzing risk exposures and aiding in risk transfer solutions. Serve as a key contact for global insurance programs, including:
- Managing annual renewals,
- Maintaining accurate risk and underwriting data, and
- Overseeing contractual liabilities to align with our risk culture and insurance program.
- Policy Management: Assist with the coordination with policy review, updates, and renewals to ensure compliance with corporate and regional standards.
- Claims Management: Manage claims reporting and coordination, working with internal teams and external providers to ensure swift, efficient resolutions. Oversee notification, investigation, and negotiation for both direct and indirect claims, including below-deductible losses.
- Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conduct assessments to identify exposures, evaluate insurance needs, and analyze claim trends.
- Data Management and Reporting: Compile and analyze insurance data for accurate record-keeping, producing reports for senior management and for the annual global insurance renewal.
- Invoicing and Financial Coordination: Manage the end-to-end process of insurance invoicing, including setting up Purchase Orders, compliance with Tax regulations and ensuring timely payments. Collaborate with Finance and AP teams to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Estates, and Internal Audit to align insurance coverage with corporate policies and mitigate cross-functional risks. Report on insurance and risk matters to the Global Head of Insurance and escalate key issues as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on international and local insurance regulations, ensuring policies comply with relevant standards.
- Vendor and Broker Coordination: Manage relationships with brokers, insurers, and service providers, coordinating meetings and assisting with negotiations.
- Business Process: Understanding business process, challenges and plans across the Dyson business, building relationships across the business, to ensure the impact and likelihood of all present and future insurable risks are modelled, enabling informed decisions on insurance purchase to be made.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a strong background in corporate insurance (not mandatory).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Knowledge of global insurance markets and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with corporate risk management, captive insurance companies, and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with complex global insurance programs, including product liability, marine cargo and property insurance.
- Familiarity with Ariba or similar procurement systems.
