Senior Oil Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oil Analyst to join an international trading firm. In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring and providing guidance to team members in delivering in-depth fundamental analysis of the global oil markets, including supply-demand dynamics, geopolitical events, and macroeconomic factors. You will collaborate closely with traders to develop and refine trading ideas, strategies, and market insights that drive trading decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the oil markets, and a proactive approach to building trading strategies in partnership with traders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with traders to generate innovative trading ideas and strategies based on fundamental analysis.
• Monitor global supply and demand trends, geopolitical developments, and macroeconomic indicators affecting the oil markets.
• Provide daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports on market trends and key developments.
• Leverage data analytics and modeling tools to support trading decisions and market positioning.

Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of experience in oil market analysis, with a strong understanding of global supply-demand dynamics and price drivers in a physical trading environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with traders to develop market-driven strategies.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, Excel, and market modeling tools.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
