Responsibilities

You are required to ensure the facilities and equipment with ActiveSG premise are operational and maintained as per our standard operating procedures, to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for the community participating in aquatic activities. Training will be provided.

In this role, you will:

1. Monitor and enforce safety rules in and around the swimming pool area.
2. Always remain vigilant, scanning the water and surrounding areas to recognise signs of danger.
3. Perform water rescue promptly in the event of an emergency and administer first aid and CPR as necessary.
4. Carry out routine inspection on lifesaving equipment, ensuring equipment is in good condition.
5. Assist Senior Lifeguard to conduct Induction and OJT for new full-time and part-time staff, ensuring they are familiar with job scope and protocols.
6. Perform the duty of testing and water treatment when required.
7. Handle public feedback.
8. Perform any other ad-hoc matters.

Requirements

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active.

In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:

1. A valid Bronze Medallion Award
2. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) credential
3. Fitness Studies/Sports Management qualification
4. Background in Sports or the Sport Industry
5. Customer-centric with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Strong standards towards customer safety in line with our SOP.
7. Able to perform shift work including weekends and public holidays.
8. Well-organised and able to multi-task.

The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 2/3-year contract in the first instance.
