Tasks and Responsibilities
Operate crane in a safe manner and in compliance with WSH ACT.
Comply with Supervisor and Foreman’s instructions to achieve quality work safely, within the stipulated completion time.
Attend risk assessment briefing before the start of work and adhere to the mentioned safe work procedures during the briefing.
Ensure personal safety and the safety of others. Follow rules and regulations and inspire others to do so.
Understand job requirements before starting work.
Inquire with superiors if in doubt regarding safety and quality issues.
Strictly follow all steps in risk assessments and attend the RA briefing before commencement of work.
Maintain good housekeeping at all times.
Cooperate with other trades for sequential workflow and smoother job completion within the given schedule.
Contribute ideas to improve working methods.
Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in good condition.
Work in compliance with the WSH Act.
Conduct routine checks on the crane before, during, and after operations.
Observe safe working procedures.
Report unsafe working conditions and work practices.
Report work-related incidents/accidents.
Minimum Requirements
2 years and above with relevant working experience.
ITE or above related to Mechanical Engineering Discipline or equivalent.
Must have knowledge in lifting.
General knowledge of ships.
Experience in working on new building or repair vessels.
Familiar with shipyard safety rules and regulations and MOM requirements.
