Marine Underwriter - Facultative

As a Marine Underwriter - Facultative, you will be responsible for the following duties:

1. To analyze risks and its exposures for assessment of risk quality and insurance coverage including pricing of risks and the other related requirements.
2. To identify and develop new sources of business.
3. To take on other assigned roles and responsibilities relevant to reinsurance business.
4. To do research on the trends of reinsurance markets and participate in developing business strategies.
5. To ensure proper administration of business transacted including follow-up actions for endorsement, registration in IT system and reporting.
6. To provide advice on claims matters.
7. To co-operate with other teams in the pursuit of company targets.
8. To carry out desk-top evaluation of a risk and where necessary seek relevant information clarification from the cedant/broker.
9. To evaluate and steer portfolio in order to enhance results and to fit company’s risk appetite.

Requirements:

1. Worked in the insurance/reinsurance industry for more than 5 years as Underwriter with regional responsibilities and good knowledge of markets.
2. ACII/FCII or equivalent would be an advantage.
