Senior Manager, Finance (Shared Services)

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financials, deliver business performance reports and track KPIs
• Provide in-depth financial analysis of business performance
• Coordinate yearly business planning and target setting, as well as quarterly forecasts
• Assist in preparation of Board and Audit Committee meeting deliverables (e.g. Financial commentaries, discussion papers)
• Partnering with business units and budget holders on performance review, cost tracking and building business cases
• Actively search for opportunities to strengthen and optimise work processes to achieve financial excellence
• Take on ad-hoc assignments to support internal and external stakeholders on finance-related related matters
• Responsible for leading the Finance Operations Department
• Insurance Operations - Overseeing the cash management activities for both life and non-life insurance business including collections and disbursements, bank reconciliations. Act as key liaison with the banks
• Oversee Credit Control Function - To ensure timely settlement from insurance brokers and intermediaries for General Insurance, as well as oversight on consumer loan portfolio
• Manage Business Analysts team that supports all key business initiatives including Products Development Testing and implementation of new systems
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity. Ensure a robust Internal control environment
• Part of the Senior Finance Management team. Play a key role in talent development and driving Finance agenda

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. MBA or CPA is desirable
• The ideal candidate should be a seasoned finance executive with a proven successful track record in a similar capacity
• The candidate must be immediately recognizable as a leader, possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, able to quickly establish credibility and rapport
• Strong Insurance Finance operations and accounting experience
• Experience in change management and process improvement projects
• Project management experience including the comprehensive review of the financial systems
• Must be comfortable working in a shared service environment
