Head of Finance (Healthcare)

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Policies & Compliance – Develop, review, and enforce financial policies, ensuring adherence to guidelines and risk management procedures.
• Performance Monitoring – Track financial performance, identify gaps, and recommend necessary actions for service and budget alignment.
• Budget Planning – Work with department heads to create and finalize the annual budget before the financial year ends.
• Financial Analysis – Conduct monthly variance analysis on financial statements, providing insights and corrective measures.
• Resource & Grant Management – Oversee financial planning, grant applications, fund utilization, and reporting to support organizational goals.
• Revenue Planning – Manage fee revisions, service revenue planning, and financial projections for new programs.
• Risk & Compliance Oversight – Act as the financial risk owner, ensuring compliance with audits, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Audit & Reporting – Serve as the main liaison for audits, ensuring timely tax, GST, and compliance submissions.
• Client Revenue Management – Supervise the Client Service Office, optimizing revenue collection processes and administrative workflows.
• Governance & ESG Initiatives – Establish and monitor Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) frameworks in line with charity governance standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy with at least 8 years of senior management experience in financial accounting or audit.
• Knowledgeable about reporting and compliance requirements of the Charities Act, ACRA and related legislation of the sector.
