Operations Director (Semiconductor - Precision Engineering)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to oversee manufacturing operations across multiple global sites in the semiconductor and precision engineering industries. This leadership role focuses on driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cost-effective production strategies.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage global manufacturing operations, ensuring the optimization of processes to create value and achieve transformation goals.
2. Drive the achievement of on-time delivery, process efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards across all operations.
3. Implement and monitor operational efficiency metrics (OTD, manning ratio, capacity utilization, OEE, yield) to facilitate transparent and effective management.
4. Establish a One Platform view of global production assets to optimize cost-effective solutions for product manufacturing.
5. Introduce and apply LEAN/Kaizen methodology to foster a continuous improvement culture within the organization.
6. Ensure the achievement of COGS% targets as set out in the annual budget.
7. Lead M&A integration efforts for manufacturing workstreams, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with future operational goals.

Requirements

1. Over 20 years of experience in operations management across global sites, with a preference for experience in the precision engineering or semiconductor industry.
2. Proven experience with LEAN/Kaizen methodologies and successfully implementing these practices across global sites.
3. Strong understanding of business management, financial management, data analysis, and strategic planning.
4. Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of driving operational excellence in complex environments.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to adapt to changing operational requirements.
6. Experience in M&A integration and MES implementation is preferred.
7. Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques, particularly in semiconductor or precision engineering sectors, is a plus.
