Senior Security Officer

Reporting to the Security Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible to:

1. Supervise all security and fire safety duties performed and maintained in accordance with hotel standard regulations.
2. Ensure the safety and security of all assets, including guests, employees, and their properties.
3. Perform duties at the lobby, driveway, patrol, escort duty, and static duty.
4. Monitor and operate CCTV, Fire Alarm System, Carpark system, and other equipment in the Fire Command Centre.
5. Observe and report any unusual behavior and conduct of employees or guests in the hotel.
6. Monitor unauthorized vandalism and removal of property, review and report accidents that happen within the hotel.
7. Inspect all areas for safety and fire hazards; file reports on safety precautions.
8. Handle incidents and investigate cases as assigned (e.g., report recovery of properties or apprehension of offenders).
9. Assist in conducting preliminary investigations into any allegations of theft.
10. Ensure efficient usage and upkeep of communication tools and equipment to enhance productivity of workflow.
11. Check and monitor security duties performed by Agency Security Officers at the Security Checkpoint.
12. Attend to all hotel emergencies and render assistance to other departments as required.
13. Assist in ensuring the safety and security of all hotel assets, including guests, employees, and their properties.
14. Be able to cover any post in times of emergency and work on extended shifts, with day off and vacation canceled if necessary.
15. Undertake any other ad-hoc duties relevant to your role, as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

1. At least 2 years of work experience in a similar capacity in the hotel industry.
2. Valid Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD) Security License.
3. Possess relevant Workforce Skill Qualification certifying as a Senior Security Officer.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Any other security-related certificates will be an added advantage.
