We are an Engineering and Construction company. Due to expansion, we are looking for an expert in Facilities, Maintenance, Health, Environment and Safety to oversee 3 warehouses and 1 construction yard.
The role ensures that buildings are clean and well-maintained. The individual will fix necessary repairs, track expenditures on the buildings, and ensure that rent collected exceeds these expenses. In case of maintenance emergencies, prompt resolution is required.
Responsibilities
- Attend to feedback from tenants/clients and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Carry out safety site inspections.
- Conduct periodic reviews of work instruction manuals.
- Develop and implement facility emergency plans.
- Manage and lead maintenance staff to perform their roles efficiently and professionally.
- Supervise and manage contractors in fulfilling their contractual obligations.
Oversee and review HSE policies, standards, and procedures within the framework of the logistics business. This includes analyzing the performance of the Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) and reviewing environmental protection policies and procedures. Responsibilities include managing HSE business resources, including manpower, equipment, and external vendors. The analytical and resourceful individual will lead a department and make business decisions independently.
Additional Responsibilities
- Align resource management (manpower and asset) strategy with business strategy across different business activities.
- Analyze WSH risk assessment reports to determine hazards.
- Analyze Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) reports to determine key themes.
- Develop a compliance strategy with internal stakeholders to achieve acceptable levels of internal compliance and industry standards.
- Develop programs that enhance WSH standards and practices.
- Drive behavioral change at the organizational level to address non-conformance of WSH standards.
- Engage senior management for buy-in to implement identified solutions.
- Formulate better ways to approach problems through synthesizing and reorganizing problem information.
- Influence stakeholders' perspectives of requirements and activities.
- Lead discussions on WSH reports and findings.
- Lead team or departmental projects.
- Manage fatigue management policies and procedures.
- Manage quality certifications, license renewals, and audit reports.
- Manage teams in the workplace.
- Motivate colleagues at the organizational level to develop innovative solutions for driving change.
- Plan internal audit schedules for quality, safety and health, and customers.
- Review WSH action plans to ensure all stakeholders' expectations are met.
- Review business process improvement solutions to determine effectiveness.
- Review environmental protection policies and procedures.
- Set organizational WSH strategy to manage compliance rates.
Requirements
- Relevant university degree
- Certified and licensed HSE
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity
- Fast learner, can-do attitude, self-motivated, independent, KPIs driven
- Hands-on experience and strong project management skills
