Assistant Engineer [Electrical/Generators/Switchgear]

Responsibilities:

• Conduct electrical maintenance and field modifications on all equipment.
• Oversee equipment testing, commissioning, and setup for new projects.
• Manage project activities, including procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with customers and vendors on technical and commercial aspects of projects.
• Attend and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for switchgear and transformers.
• Inspect subcontractor work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Test, commission, and maintain key equipment, including main switchboards, switchgear, control relay panels, DC chargers, battery banks, transformers, protective relays, motor control centers, and capacitor banks.
• Modify and troubleshoot schematic drawings on-site.
• Lead technicians in performing on-site testing and troubleshooting activities.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including switchboards, transformers, relays, and motor control centers.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, equipment testing, and commissioning (experience in switchgear, transformers, and related equipment is an advantage).
