Data Protection Officer, Healthcare Governance

What you'll be doing

• Implement, monitor, and track compliance with data protection policies and procedures
• Conduct impact and risk assessments to identify potential data protection risks
• Provide guidance on managing data breaches and incidents in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Perform regular data protection audits and collaborate with stakeholders to integrate data protection measures into business processes
• Partner with internal teams to respond to data requests, provide guidance on data management, and address internal and external queries
• Conduct training sessions, briefings, and workshops to promote data protection best practices across the organisation
• Stay updated on changes in data protection laws, policies, and industry best practices, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
• Assist in departmental operations, documentation, and other administrative matters as required.
• Undertake any other projects or tasks as assigned by the supervisor

What we're looking for

• Bachelor Degree level in Information Security/ Data Protection or related studies
• 1 - 2 years of experience in healthcare setting
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, regulatory requirements (e.g., PDPA, GDPR), and risk assessment methodologies
• Experience with data protection audits is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and provide guidance on data governance matters
• Experience in conducting training, briefings, or awareness programmes on data protection best practices
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, track compliance metrics, and handle data-related requests efficiently
