Art Consultant / Senior Art Consultant

CANVAS ART CONSULTANTS is a brand partner of HBA, specializing in creating art concept proposals for hospitality projects. We are excited to broaden our search for creative individuals who are passionate about art and design.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Represent the team in project coordination, concept writing, presentations, artwork sourcing and editing, and documentation of art schedules and specifications in English and Chinese.
2. Collaborate with interior designers and other consultants to create custom art and styling concepts for hospitality, restaurants, and residential projects.
3. Develop concepts into artwork: Work with artists and artisans while adhering to client budget constraints.
4. Ensure quality control: Conduct factory visits for both local and overseas custom art.
5. Procurement: Source additional decorative items on location (local and international) and create procurement schedules and budgets.
6. Oversee installation and styling: Be on-site when required (local and international).

Qualifications:

Essential:

1. Recognized qualification in an art-related field (Art History & Design, Multimedia Art, Graphic Design, Product Design, Arts Management, etc.)
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). 3D software, Sketch up etc.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional writing, presentations, and interaction with designers, clients, and stakeholders.
4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under pressure and tight deadlines.
5. Ability to thrive in a team environment.
6. Understanding of design plans and elevations.
7. Enthusiasm for learning.
8. Strong sense of creativity, initiative, and reliability.

Preferred:

1. Knowledge of AutoCAD (Basic).
2. Strong understanding of international art trends.
3. Knowledge of Asian culture and history.
4. Experience sourcing new artists, artisans, and vendors.
