Job description

Our client is a newly established subsidiary company that is primarily engaged in the trading of technological apparel. Its parent company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. They are seeking a Finance Executive to join their pioneer team.

The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager and will play a pivotal role in the company’s finance operations. The ideal candidate is highly organised, analytical, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reimbursements
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of financial transactions, bank statements and GST filing
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare monthly journals, reports and audit schedules
  • Monitor cashflow requirements and prepare cashflow projections
  • Assist in the preparation of budget and forecast
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, vendors, customers and auditors where necessary
  • Support daily finance operations, including data entry and record-keeping, and any adhoc tasks as assigned from time to time

Requirements

Education: Diploma in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent

Experience: 1 - 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a SME or start-up environment.

Skills:

  • Strong familiarity with financial accounting principles and Singapore tax and accounting requirements
  • Proficient in SAP software, preferably S/4 HANA
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

Language ability:

  • Proficiency in spoken Mandarin and confident to communicate in written Chinese, to be able to liaise with and collaborate with teams in Hong Kong and China
  • Proficient in spoken and written English

Attitude:

  • Proactive individual with a strong desire to learn and develop professionally and is keen to play a key role in contributing to the growth of the company
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses a collaborative mindset; understands the importance of building and maintaining relationships with internal team and external stakeholders
  • Has a can-do spirit

This is an in-person role in Singapore.
