We are seeking a Senior IT Specialist (Infrastructure) to join the IT department team. Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and security of endpoint devices, implementing improvements to enhance user experience, and ensuring the smooth operation of NKF’s IT infrastructure.Your responsibilities are as follows:
- Maintenance & Support of End-User Computing Devices (EUCDs)
- Oversee the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of all endpoint devices, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Provide technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all endpoint devices and related software licenses.
- Monitor EUCD performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact users.
- Security & Compliance of IT Endpoints
- Ensure timely patching and hardening of all EUCDs to protect against security vulnerabilities.
- Manage endpoint security measures, including antivirus, encryption, and compliance with cybersecurity policies.
- Oversee software license management and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with the IT team on business continuity and disaster recovery plans for endpoint infrastructure.
- Enhancing User Experience through IT Improvements
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend new initiatives to improve endpoint performance and user experience.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify IT pain points and implement user-friendly solutions.
- Participate in the design and architecture of NKF’s IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with future IT strategies.
- Develop and document IT best practices to improve knowledge sharing and user adoption of IT solutions.
- Project Management & IT Vendor Coordination
- Manage and lead cross-functional IT projects, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Work with external IT vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with NKF’s IT requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to junior IT staff, ensuring knowledge transfer for newly implemented systems.
- Deputise for the Infrastructure Manager when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Experience
- 6 to 8 years of experience in IT end-user computing device management, administration, and support.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 (latest versions).
